Terms of service

Last updated: July 28, 2026

These terms keep things fair for both of us. Plain-English summary up front: your choreography is yours, the free editor is genuinely free, paid plans renew until you cancel, and don't use Choreo to do anything illegal or to host content you don't have rights to.

1. The service

Choreo is a choreography editor: a beat-grid timeline, formation tools, per-dancer parts, and recording features, available in your browser. The free tier runs locally on your device. Paid tiers add hosted features such as sync, sharing, and clip hosting.

2. Your content

Everything you create in Choreo — routines, counts, formations, recordings — belongs to you. We claim no ownership. For hosted features, you grant us only the limited license needed to store and transmit your content to the people you share it with. Delete it, and the license ends.

You're responsible for having the rights to what you upload — including music. Choreo syncs your choreography to your audio locally; distributing music you don't have rights to is on you, not us.

3. Accounts

Paid features require an account. Keep your credentials to yourself; you're responsible for activity under your account. Studio workspaces are administered by the studio, which controls who holds instructor seats.

4. Plans, billing, cancellation

Subscriptions (Crew, Pro, Studio) bill monthly or annually and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel anytime; access to paid features runs to the end of the billing period. Per-instructor Studio seats can be added or removed at any time and are prorated. The Wedding unlock is a one-time purchase for one event with hosting for the stated period. Your routines remain on your device and editable on the free plan regardless of billing status.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Choreo to host unlawful content, infringe others' rights, harass people, probe or disrupt the service, or resell access. We may suspend accounts that do, after notice where practical.

6. Service changes

We improve Choreo continuously and may change or retire hosted features with reasonable notice. Because the editor is local-first, changes to hosted features never take your local work away.

7. Disclaimers and liability

Choreo is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we'll post the update here with a new date and, for account holders, notify you by email. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
